A Night to Remember Rescue of Spectre 22...by Gunner Bob Jacobs

Captain Dale Smith Crew July 1972 (this was my NEW crew that I was assigned too after I was shot down).  Everyone on my old crew (SPECTRE 22) was sent back to the states after the shoot down except for Gunner Stan Reeves and myself.  Because everyone on that crew was almost done with there one-year tour and Stan and me had more or less just arrived at Ubon.   Also the day this picture was taken I was having my mid tour check ride, that’s why Ken Laird was flying with us on this day.
